I then get all my flagged tasks, and tasks that are due that week and put them into a task paper document, categorizing them under daily projects, interleaved with scheduled events to give me an idea of when I will do them. Anything that isn't due this next week but should be done I type #thisWeek in the notes section. I echo what everyone says about dumping everything into Omnifocus at the beginning of your semester.Įvery Friday, I go through Omnifocus and review all of my tasks. That said, I wish OF paid more attention to the visual aspect and the iOS apps nearly as good as the MacOS one.My current setup uses a blend of OF and TaskPaper (TP). OF for iPad has a dedicated column for the inspector. Things for iPad is a larger version of the iPhone app. With OmniFocus I can defer a repeating task to 8 PM and I will be blissfully unaware until it’s the time to do it. With Things, I have to see these tasks adding up to my to-do list the entire day, and it stresses me out to see a long list that I can’t shorten even if I wanted earlier in the day. I have some tasks I usually do right before going to bed.
